At the Peacemaker Institute, we offer innovative, world-class trainings for nonprofit leaders, social entrepreneurs, community activists, and peacemakers from all over the U.S. and abroad. Our diverse offerings share certain core qualities. They are transformative, holistic (body, mind and spirit balanced), experiential, and inclusive. Each training is delivered with a focus on community learning, peer relationships, and respect for the background, experience, and needs of each participant.
Integral Peacemaker Training™
Our Integral Peacemaker Training (IPT) professional certificate program is the most integrally sound and deeply transformational leadership and activist training available today. It consists of the IPT Four Core Trainings – Transforming Self, Transforming Relationship, Transforming Groups and Transforming Systems – combined with a Nonviolent Communication (NVC) training and a deep plunge training/retreat, either The Event or the Street Retreat.
The EVENT™
This three-day intensive training is for individuals seeking to make a significant shift in their personal and/or professional lives. The Event is a breakthrough training that offers participants the opportunity to release and transform the most intransient negative conditioning and self-limiting patterns, opening up entirely new realms of creativity, personal power and performance. The Event is also a powerful doorway to authentic, healthy, and nurturing relationships.
Nonviolent Communication
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg, an internationally renowned social activist, peacemaker and master teacher. We offer beginning and intermediate NVC trainings delivered by certified CNVC trainers.
Intensive Group Matrix Training
The Peacemaker Institute offers an introductory training in the Matrix Leadership Model with Matrix Institute founder Amina Knowlan. The training is designed to teach the concept, practice and value of developing and maintaining a Matrix of person-to-person communication and is highly recommended for anyone leading or facilitating groups of all kinds.
